"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2 Cor. 3:17 GIVE GOD YOUR ALL The idea of praising God at all times is brought out in Scripture, but why should we do this? He is worthy to be praised! It is God that will bring success to our endeavors. Praise keeps us awake spiritually and our mind is on Him and is ready to receive from the Spirit. To praise God is to force Satan to flee. There is no middle ground with praise. Worship opens up a way for God to move in our life. (Ps. 68:4) There is an issue of love. We must obey God in love, or our worship is meaningless. We can't worship God at the alter if we have ought against others. We must first solve our problem then return to God. (Matt. 5:23,24) We must first do what the Lord has told us to do then we can come to God and worship Him. Worship in this regard is a statement of finished business. Then God will say to us well done thou good and faithful servant. (Matt. 25:23) Ps. 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." 1 Thes. 5:16 Rejoice always Phil. 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. To be thankful in all things is to know that God is in control and whatever happens in our life God will work it out for good. Thankfulness and praise is the gate into the Spiritual Kingdom of God. (Psalm 118:19-21; 100:4; Isa. 60:11,18) Ps. 44:8 "In God we have boasted all day long, and we will give thanks to Thy name forever." Ps. 86:12 I will give thanks to Thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and will glorify Thy name forever." Eph. 5:20 "always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;" Phil. 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be make known to God." 1 Thes. 5:18 in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. When our hearts desire is totally for God then we are set apart for His purposes. "Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;" Col. 4:2 Ps. 38:9 Lord, all my desire is before Thee; Ps. 87:7 "... all my springs of joy are in you." Ps. 119:97 "O how I love Thy law! It is my meditation all the day. " Ps. 119:168 I keep Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, for all my ways are before Thee" Prov. 3:5,6 "Trust in the lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight." Ps. 2:8 "Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him;; God is a refuge for us." 2 Chrn. 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His." Seek the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Seek Him continually, seek Him through prayer and seek Him by reading and studying the Bible. Matt. 7:7,8 "Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks Jr shall be opened." Det. 4:29 "...seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and your soul." 1 Crn. 16:11 "Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually." Ps. 105:4 "Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face continually." Jer. 29;13 If you seek Me you will find Me if you search for Me with all your heart. Prayer is the offensive weapon that we use in Spiritual warfare. Pray about everything. Pray without ceasing. Pray in the Spirit. Pray always for our fellow workers. Devote ourselves to prayer. Phil. 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." 1 Thes. 5:17 pray without ceasing; Eph. 6:18 "With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints," Luke 18:1 "Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not lose heart," Col. 1:3 "We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you," Col. 4:2 "Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;" Rom. 12:12 "rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation devoted to prayer," Acts 1:14 "These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers." Acts 2:42 "And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 6:4 "But we will devote ourselves to prayer, and to the ministry of the word." Working for the Lord, we should do it with all that we have. Spread out your work so that you can be more sure that it will profit you. Work as if God is your boss so then you would not have to be supervised so closely. Work to please God and not man. Provide for your family. If all you do is talk there will be poverty, but if you work there will be profit. Eccl. 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do do it with all your might. Eccl. 11:6 Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening for you do not know what sowing will profit you. Prov. 6:6-8 "Go to the ant, O sluggard, observe her ways and be wise, which having no chief, officer or ruler, prepares her food in the summer, and gathers her provision in the harvest." Prov. 30:10-31 A wife busy with many jobs to provide for her family. Prov. 14:23 In all labor there is profit but mere talk leads only to poverty. Col. 3:23 "Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men;" 2 Thes. 3:10 If a man does not work neither let him eat. Rom. 12:11 Not lagging behind in diligence. 1 Cor. 10:31 "Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Eph. 6:7,8 "With good will render service as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free." Col. 3:17 And whatever you do in word or indeed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father." 1 Peter 4:11 "Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God; whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." Gal. 6:9 Don't be weary in well doing for in due time you will reap if you do not grow weary. 1 Cor. 15:58 Be steadfast immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. Deut. 6:5 Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Serve God as His grace is given to us. (2 Cor. 4:1) "Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart," Look for God to lead you into His fullness. Look for Him to guide you towards all that He has for you. "Now to Him who is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us."
