"Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not lose heart." Luke 18:1

Why do we lose heart? We lose hope of a solution. We see the problem as too great to solve. We see ourselves instead of Christ. We forget that God's strength is made out of weakness.

Have we lost hope of a solution? Consider Jesus, for He will bring a solution. We are made complete in Christ. (Colossians 2:10)

WE ARE COMPLETE IN JESUS!

Have you lost hope because you think your problem is too great? Consider Joseph, one of the sons of Jacob. His older brothers detested him, and when they, got the chance, they sold him into slavery. Later he was accused by his masters wife of rape and thrown in prison. But God did not forget Joseph. God rewarded him and delivered him from prison. He later became one of the highest rulers of Egypt.

God led the Israelite slaves away from their Egyptian captors, and when they were trapped against the Red Sea, He parted the waters and they crossed to safety.

Gideon and 300 men defeated the Mideonites who were as numerous as the sand of the sea. They blew their trumpets and let their lights shine. God brought a complete victory,

Ruth, a Moabitees woman, left with her mother-in-law from Israel after her Hebrew husband died. She found her next husband, Boaz, in a strange land.

David fought Goliath who was between 9 and 10^ feet tall. David defeated him because God was with him. David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted." (1 Samuel 17:45)

Later, when David had been King for a while his son Absalom took the government by coup. David fled for his life, but he did not give up hope. He called on God and put his trust in Him. "O Lord, how my adversaries have increased! Many are rising up against me. Many are saying of my soul, there is no deliverance for him in God. But Thou, O Lord, art a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. I was crying to the Lord with my voice, and He answered me from His holy mountain. I lay down and slept; I awoke for the Lord sustains me. I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about. Arise, O Lord; save me, 0 my God! For Thou hast smitten all my enemies on the cheek; Thou hast shattered the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to the Lord; Thy blessing be upon Thy people! (Psalm 3)

Think of what God has done for you in the past. Know that He is the same today as He was then and He will continue to fight for you and save you.
