"If you can? All things are possible to him who believes." Mark 9:23

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water'". John 7:37,38

23 Points concerning the Blood of Jesus
Many of these 23 notes taken from Andrew Murry's writings.

1. Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin. (Heb. 9:22; Lev. 17:11)

2. Jesus knew the death on the cross was payment for sin. (Luke 22:20-22)

3. The Father’s plan and Jesus agreement for the cross. (Acts 2:23; Luke 22:41-44)

4. O.T. Prophets foretold Christ’s predestined plan. (Acts 2:23) for salvation. (Isa. 53:4-6; Jn. 1:29)

5. Blood of Jesus provides us the acquittal of our sins. (Eph.1:7) The working of the blood encompasses everything. Through the blood of Jesus we have been redeemed. (Rom. 5:9; Titus 2:14)

6. Trusting in Christ’s finished work on the cross gives us peace with God. It also can give us a spiritual foundation of peace with people here on earth. (Eph. 2:13,14; Col 1:20)

7. The blood of Jesus breaks captivity of sin and takes away condemnation. (1Jn. 1:7-9; Romans 8:1,2)

8. Before Christ’s death there was shedding of blood in sacrifice of animals to God. This was an act of faith God would provide a true sacrifice in the future. (Col. 2;17; Heb. 8:4,5;10:1)

9. The sacrifice is a picture of one giving up his life, so that another might live. Jesus gave up his life for us. (1 Peter 3:18; Matt. 27:17)

10. The Passover is a picture of God not seeing our sin, nor sending us to hell, because of the blood on the door post and lintel. (Ex. 12:1-13)

11. Our blood washed robes allow us to enter into the presence of God. (Rev.7:14;5:9 1Cor. 6:19,20; Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18,19)

12. We are bought with the blood, meaning that we are Christ’s and are not our own. We are either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness. (Rom 6:16) You can’t do something without letting it have control in your life. (1Cor. 6:19,20; Acts 20:28; 1 Peter 1:18,19,: Rev. 5:9)

13. The life of the flesh is in the blood (Lev. 17:11) and was forfeited by sin. Life eternal can be imparted only by the atonement made in the giving up of the life by our spotless Savior. (2 Cor. 5:21; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 Jn. 3:5; Rom. 3:25)

14. The shedding of blood is only the climax of a life style that was present throughout all of Jesus ministry. (Acts 10:38)

15. Because of the work of the blood in us, we live in Christ. (Eph. 2:13)

We are blood bought.

16. We have been purchased with Christ’s blood and He has made us to be a kingdom and priests to our God. (Rev. 5:9)

17. The blood cleanses us from our sins as we walk in the light. (1 Jn. 1:7,9; Luke 3:8)

18. We have been washed from our sins by Jesus blood. (Rev. 1:5)

19. I saw a vision of a heart in the middle of a dishwasher and it was continually being washed. The Lord showed me, that was my heart and it was continually being washed by the blood of Jesus.

20. Our conscience is sprinkled with the blood of Jesus. (Heb. 9:14;10:20) So we can boldly come before God to find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4;16) Our access to God is through the blood of Jesus and not our good works. (Eph. 2:13; Heb. 10:19,22)

21. The alter is sanctified by the blood and when we touch the alter we are made holy. (Ex. 29:37) The N.T. alter is the cross of Christ. When we put aside our desires and live by the direction of the Holy Spirit, we are set apart for His work. (Which is being sanctified or holy) “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who lived me, and delivered Himself up for me.” (Gal. 2:20)

22. The Spirit and the blood work together. Understanding the blood is understanding truth. When the Holy Spirit is working with our understanding there is liberty. (Heb. 9:14; 2 Cor. 3:17)

23. We overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb. (Rev. 12:11) Our sins are cleansed by the blood and we are made ready to minister by the N.T. alter, the cross. (1Jn. 1:7,9; Ga. 2:20) Satan is pushed back as we serve God in obedience. (1 Jn. 5:4,5)

The Precious Blood of Jesus

The Precious Blood of Jesus (Notes from the above article)

Blood Shed & Blood Sprinkled
"...This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you" (Luke 22:20).

Ex 12:22 Apply blood to the door posts and lintel, at the passover.

Ex24:6,8 Moses sprinkled the blood on the alter and on the people.
Heb 9:19 Sprinkled the book and the people
Not just for forgiveness but for communion with God. Sanctified to enter into His presence.

"Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Hebrews 9:12).
"How much more shall the blood of Christ...purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" (verse 14).
"...now to appear in the presence of God for us" (Hebrews 9:24).

2. How Is the Blood of Jesus
Sprinkled Upon the Heart?

The blood is sprinkled on us by the Spirit of Christ, who dwells in us.
It affects us when we believe.

We enter into the benefits through faith in His blood. Rom 3:25

Churches around the world partake of communion regularly. Yet, Paul warns us not to "drink [the cup] unworthily." This doesn't mean merely partaking of a communion service after we've failed in some way; we know that if we repent of our sin, Jesus will forgive us and cleanse us of all iniquity.
No -- I believe Paul is saying we are to discern Christ's body properly. He's talking about coming to the Lord's table, drinking of the cup symbolic of His blood -- and yet not believing in the power of that blood! It has to do with sitting in condemnation and fear -- not believing that Christ's blood has justified and sanctified us in God's sight.

You are left weak because you do not believe in the total victory of Christ's blood!"

If you are resting that is the evidence of faith. Heb 4:3
When you accept the preaching you are being sprinkled.

How do we know if we are sprinkled in the blood of Jesus?

1. We are willing to walk in the light. 1 Jn 1:7
2. When we are under attack we call on the benefits of the blood. 2 Tim 4:7
I believe our battle cry should be, "I proclaim the victory of the blood of Jesus! I am blood-washed, blood-bought, blood-justified, blood- safe, blood-ransomed. And I proclaim the victory of the blood of Jesus!"

3. A conscience that is at rest

3. What Are the Benefits
That Flow From the Blood
of Jesus, Once Your Heart
Has Been Sprinkled?

Jesus' blood redeems us from sin and the power of darkness.
"In whom we have redemption through his blood..." (Ephesians 1:7).
Jesus' blood has purchased the whole church of God.
"...feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood" (Acts 20:28).
Jesus' blood breaks down all walls.
"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and broken down the middle wall of partition between us" (Ephesians 2:13-14).
Jesus' blood sanctifies us.
"...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin"
(1 John 1:7).
Christ's blood overcomes Satan and puts him to flight.
"And they overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony..." (Revelation 12:11)
The blood gives us access to the Holy of Holies -- to our heavenly Father -- without reproach.
"Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus" (Hebrews 10:19).
