"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water'". John 7:37,38 |

Energy from the sun captured by leaves is used in photosynthesis. Roots draw up water (hydrogen and oxygen). The chemicals of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen are mixed to make sugar, and the extra oxygen is given off for animals and to man to breath.
Leaves are able to manufacture sugar, with the help of the sun, because of the special properties of chlorophyl. It catches the light and takes the part of the light that is needed for photosynthesis. This chlorophyll is found in each leaf; without it the leaf would be useless.
There are necessary things needed in our life if we are to be useful to God. The Lord tells us in Micah 6:8 what He requires from us. "He has told you oh man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and walk humbly with your God." If we will walk with God, have a just relationship with our neighbor, and have a humble heart, we can't help but grow and produce fruit. A leaf doesn't struggle to receive light and manufacture sugar. It does it naturally, and our walk with God is easy if we allow the right ingredients to be present in our lives.
Receive from God. Act in love towards those around you. Be humble before God and others. Then, God will use us.
